Pizza Margherita


pizza dough (Bread Machine Pizza Dough Recipe)


1 cup pizza sauce

1/2 pound mozzarella (shredded)

1/4 cup fine chopped fresh basil

1/4 coarse chopped fresh basil

3/4 pound fresh mozzarella (cut ball in slices and then the slices in 1/4)

1 cup fresh shredded parmesan

2 sliced tomatoes (slice and place on paper towel to help draw out some moisture)

1/8 cup romano cheese



  • Pat out pizza dough into your pizza pan and preheat oven to 425°.
  • Spread a thin layer of sauce on the dough. Top sauce with romano cheese, fine chopped basil, mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes.
  • Place in oven and cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and top with the parmesan and coarse chopped basil. Cook until browned up and bubbling (about 5 more minutes).
